This afternoon I’ve come across this modern apartment, at Southbridge in Northampton. My regular readers I mention Southbridge quite a lot but they’re great for investment, especially as the university is moving in to the town centre!
It’s being advertised to INVESTORS ONLY as it looks like it needs to be sold with the tenants in situ as there is a tenancy agreement in place until 05th of August 2017.
It’s marketed with Howkins and Harrison with a guide price of £132,000 and they say it’s tenanted for £600.00 pcm. So this offers a respectable return of 5.5% per annum. In the past few months we have seen a really good demand for such properties and we would estimate a rent increase could be given to the tenants to increase your potential yield to over 6%!
There are plenty of other buy to let deals coming to the market right now, so if you see any other properties out there and would like my honest opinion on whether it’s good bet or not, I am more than happy to do this. I will also give you a realistic rental price for it, not an over inflated one to get the sale!
